“If you or someone you love has been touched by cancer, this book is for you. Cancer with Joy provides a positive, encouraging and uplifting resource for patients going through one of the most difficult times in their lives. With grace, humor and personal experience, Joy has created a book that is not only fun to read, but extremely helpful when facing a diagnosis of cancer. As an oncology nurse, I would definitely recommend this book to patients who could use some additional support, mentally, emotionally and spiritually while tackling a cancer diagnosis.”

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October of this year. My sister had heard of this book and got a copy to me within a week of diagnosis. I can’t imagine what it would have been like for me to navigate this “cancer road” without the help of this book. It was almost like I was given permission to be positive and up beat, even when we weren’t sure if the cancer had spread. I also was grateful to know that we could have a sense of humor about it! It also has a bunch of info without being overwhelming or scary. Like Joy talks about, the internet can scare a person if you google enough info. I have read and re read the book a couple of times. I am passing a copy on to my mom and my sis who gave me the book to begin with. I think it would be a huge help to anyone that cancer has touched. It gives good info both with stories of others who are facing cancer and resources that are available. This is all presented in a positive and warm manner. An EXCELLENT resource!
